Well for starters all of Jesus' life and death was prophecied in the Old Testament hundereds of years before. e.g Isaiah 7:14,The virgin birth, in Matthew1:18-25, fullfilment of prophecy Isaiah 53,the death of Christ, Isaiah 61:1-2.Jesus' ministry There are many prophecies concerning His coming, life, His death and ressurrection. Jesus' life was short but "...came into the world to save sinners..." 1 Timothy 1:15. Jesus was put to death on a cross for blaspheming (which He wasn't, He was only telling the truth) and claiming to be the King of the Jews. Which He was. Jesus was their(The Jew's) awaited and promised messiah. Jesus came only to do what His Father wanted Him to do, and that is to save people from their sins like me and you and also whoever is reading this, and being brought into relationship with God. It was God's will that Jesus died on the cross. The death of Christ was (If we were living back then and watched this happen) a picture of 1. God's love and mercy towards us 2. the consequences of sin, in Romans 6:23 the Bible says, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." it was a clear demonstration of the wages of sin. It's like if you commit a crime, no matter how big or small it is, it needs to be paid, And that's exactly what Jesus did on the cross, He bore our punishment for our sins instead of us paying for it. Why? read this verse from John 3:16

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Jesus died for you and me and everybody else. Jesus has paid for everyman's wages of sin, Past, Present and Future sins. Jesus has forever satisfied the wrath of God. The promise is that If you believe (By accepting who He is and what He has done) then you will be saved. Jesus came to save us from our sins.

Read through the gospels and the New Testament because it does answer a lot of your questions, I will give you some recommmendations, Romans, Hebrews, John's gospel.

But it doesn't stop there, Jesus is not dead now, He is alive again. He rose from the dead on the third day as He told His disciples and was accended up into heaven siting at the right hand throne of God. What does this mean? 1. Salvation 2. Jesus is God because He is our Saviour and if he wasn't God then He couldn't be our Saviour.

I strongly advise you that you respond to this by prayer because whatever you discide now will effect the rest of eternity.
It's your choice but I know that God wants you to accept His Son and have eternal life in Him.

If you want to respond then just pray this little easy prayer and say,

DEAR JESUS, THANK YOU THAT YOU DIED FOR ME AT THE CROSS. THANK YOU THAT YOUR BLOOD HAS PAID FOR MY SINS. I COME BEFORE YOU NOW AND I SAY NOW THAT I'M SORRY FOR ALL THE SINS I HAVE COMMITTED, PLEASE FORGIVE ME. LORD JESUS PLEASE COME INTO MY LIFE. I CONFESS WITH MY MOUTH THAT YOU ARE THE LORD OF MY LIFE AND I BELIEVE THAT GOD RAISED YOU FROM THE DEAD. I RECIEVE YOU INTO MY LIFE AS MY SAVIOUR AND LORD AND FRIEND. THANK YOU THAT I AM NOW YOURS. FILL ME WITH YOUR HOLY SPIRIT. HELP ME TO LIVE FOR YOU. THANK YOU LORD AMEN.

If you prayed that prayer and ment it then Welcome to the family. you're a Christian! Don't be freaked out by that, it's great because you have a great future a head of you and God is happy that you are His. Find a church near you that will teach you more on Jesus and how to live a new life. Read the Bible everyday and spend time daily in prayer speaking to Jesus.

If you haven't accepted Jesus then please think about your descision because it will effect the rest of eternity.

There is a lot to tell. Umm...start with John and also there are some wonderful explanations in the book of Romans. Now, there are several "versions" out there of bibles. Don't get daunted. I am fairly sure the most popular Bible as far as layman's terms is either the New International Version (aka the NIV) or the New Living Translation which for a first time kind of thing may actually be easier. The authentic King James Version is great but a bit difficult even for seasoned Christians sometimes! LOL I will pray for you that God will guide you to the right type of bible and/or the right books of the bible to begin reading. May God bless you abundantly!!!

Jesus had been born in this world to save mankind from sins and to destroy the works of the devil. Jesus was crucified on the cross and shed his blood to save mankind from sins. Jesus was buried in the tomb. Jesus rose again from the dead and appeared to many. Jesus ascended to heaven to be seated at the right hand of Almighty God. Jesus will come again as Lord of Lords and King of Kings.
