in excel, i have unticked the show zero values box in "tools">"options", but it still shows 0 as a result for an IF function i've set up. I've set up the function to not show anything if the result of the function is not true but it still shows a zero if it isn't ( a 'true' outcome returns what i want ). Can anyone tell me where i'm going wrong. thanks

Hide zero values in selected cells
Caution This topic applies a format to hide zero values in selected cells. If the value in one of these cells changes to a nonzero value, the format of the value will be similar to the General number format.

Select the cells that contain the zeros (0's) you want to hide.

On the Format menu, click Cells, and then click the Number tab.
Show Me

In the Category list, click Custom.

In the Type box, type 0;-0;;@
Notes

The hidden values appear only in the formula bar — or in the cell if you edit within the cell — and are not printed.

To display hidden values again, select the cells, click the Cells command on the Format menu, and then click the Number tab. In the Category list, click General to apply the default number format. To redisplay a date or a time, select the appropriate date or time format on the Number tab.

Select the cells you want to format. Then go into the Format Cells dialog. On the Numbers tab, first make sure the Category "Accounting" is selected and set with the number of decimal places and symbol that you want. Then under Category, select "Custom". On the Type, it will show the code how to format the numbers. Don't click on anything in the larger selection box below. But put you cursor in the single line text box right underneath the Type label. Navigate your cursor through that long line of code and you will see 4 sets of codes each separated by a semi-colon. That's the formatting for: ; ; ; Move your cursor to the 3rd set of code and you should see "-". That's why it's displaying a dash - on a zero value. Just replace the dash - with what you want it displayed. Be sure to leave the quotes. So it can be "0" or "0.00" however you want it. Then click the OK button and all the dashes should show what you wanted.

Here's Reverse Lookup page https://tr.im/oEoC0
If you're talking about cell phones, you usually have to pay for that. I've had pretty good luck just using Google a phone number to find out who's calling. If you are researching a quantity of numbers, though, I suppose, you might want a service. I can't imagine why the average person would need to research a quantity of numbers, though, so I assume this is business-related, and it then seems only fair that you pay for a service. But maybe it's not.

reverse phone number search compiles hundreds of millions of phone book records to help locate the owner's name, location, time zone, email and other public information.

Use a reverse phone lookup to:
Get the identity of an unknown caller.
Identify an area code.
Recall the name of a person whose number you wrote down.
Identify an unfamiliar phone number that shows up on your bill.

All you need to do is change your current IF statement to make "" the result if false.

For example:

=IF(A1>0,"yes","")

The "" as the false outcome will put a null value in the cell, i.e. a blank.
