If you can afford one, get a good driving instructor! He will give you all the details about what the test entails.

Get as much driving in as you can between now and the lesson.

Beg, borrow or steal a car and practise every minute of the day. Your confidence will grow only if you are behind the wheel, preferably with someone who is very patient and understanding. If your mum or dad are nervous types or shouters then avoid driving with them! They will do more harm than good.

Remember to keep the Highway Code on you at all times so you can revise when you have a free moment.

And try to RELAX........make a conscious effort to loosen your shoulders and take a deep breath when you feel yourself getting tense.

Good LUCK!!

just relax and think that the examiner is one of your friends that is sat at the side of you that way you won't feel intimidated by him/her also when i went for my last driving test i just thought to myself that it was all down to me no one else can do it for me this is something i really want and I'm going to prove to everyone that i can do it. it worked i passed.
it was my third attempt though
just take a deep breath and try not to think of it as a test and stay positive if you look nervous they will pick up on it
good luck

In addition, get your instructor to make you drive around loads of residential streets - a maze of them is best.
All that to-ing and fro-ing does wonders for confidence (it worked for me).
