Does anything happen after errors are made?

With the help of Jehovah's spirit, new truths are always being shown by careful examination of his Word. (Jeremiah 3:15 ) We are imperfect and sometimes we do make errors. Even Jesus' apostles made mistakes in judgement which Jesus corrected them for. If corrections need to be made, Jehovah's anointed ones here on earth, will make sure that this is done. Matthew 24:45

Any errors the WTS has made are responsible by the writers of their literature and the deciding of their doctrines, whatever. But also their Governing Body because they should be proofreading the articles. Even if they make errors, like their predictions that 1914, 1918, 1925, the 40's, 1975 would be the end of the world, they never ever apologized. All they said was while some may have hoped for this to happen, it didn't come true. They have an article in one of their new magazines out with the title: Happy to Wait for Jehovah. So any mistake is covered over by saying that Jehovah changed his mind. Yet they say nothing about the scripture that God Never changes. It's a bunch of hogwash.

PS: Have you read Crisis of Conscience by Raymond Franz? It's written by a former member of the Governing Body who had upclose personal experience with the WTS hypocrisy and erroneous, unscriptural teachings.

completely, in spite of the reality that I disagree that it fairly is an "admission" of something (through fact the WTS under no circumstances incredibly suggested that 1975 might convey in Armageddon.) To me it fairly is extra an acknowledgement that there have been some statements revealed that implied this to be so and regrettably there replaced right into a lot of "expectation aroused with reference to the year 1975." no longer something extra. This replaced into written by potential of the WTS on the top of 1974 - "The classes of Jehovah's witnesses have shown that, in accordance to Bible chronology, it appears that evidently that 6,000 years of guy's existence would be finished in the mid-1970's. yet those classes HAVE under no circumstances pronounced THAT the international'S end might COME THEN. although, there has been important individual hypothesis on the concern. So the assembly presentation "Why we have not Been instructed ‘That Day and Hour'" replaced into very well timed. It emphasised that we don't comprehend the ideal time whilst God will convey the top." - The Watchtower 1974, 10/15 p. 635 i'm no genius despite the fact that it kind of feels notably elementary to me. for sure people who had fake expectancies (and who desperate to depart after 1975 through fact of their very own egocentric motives) could no longer examine.....? EDIT @ UL No yet my mothers and dads have been. They remember each thing. @Galatians for sure you probably did no longer examine the Watchtower of 1974 which for sure states that we don't comprehend the ideal TIME whilst GOD WILL convey the top. (caps mine)

There have been times, few that they are, where either through typos, misinformation, misunderstandings, etc. where mistakes have been made. When this is realised either through personal study or at times from letters from readers, Retractions are printed, if it something small like, saying a town name wrong. If we see we are in error in our understanding of the Bible we quickly explain the correction.

As to who is responsible to find errors, I would say anyone/everyone. When we read something, if we something inncorrect it seems the polite thing to do is correct it.

The current governing body, which frequently changes, is responsible. Any witness can end up on the governing body, as it is not an elected or paid position. The positions rotate and the ones currently serving live in two bedroom apartments, right along with the volunteer factory servants.

Watchtower Society in Brooklyn, NY

You will find the Watchtower Society somewhat flexible to fixing any mistakes where most Churches (i.e. Catholics) once a rule is set forth its pretty much in stone (i.e. 2nd council of Nicea adopting idol worship).

Fact: JWs once celebrated Christmas as everyone else (Christmas trees set up at their HQs) but once they did the research they found it not appropriate to practice.

One thing that distinguishes the righteous from the wicked, the true servants of Jehovah God from those in bondage to God's adversary,Satan the Devil is the fact that true servants of Jehovah God enjoy light. As for the wicked they walk in darkness, spiritually speaking.
However, the shining of light on the path of the righteous is progressive. It keeps "shining ever brighter".
Viewing certain matters from a distance in time and with only a little light on the subject often we have had a incomplete, and even inaccurate, view of things. In such situations we well may have been influenced by previously held views. But as the light gets brighter and we draw much closer to events, then our understanding of the outworking of God's purposes becomes clearer.Prophecies open up to us as Jehovah's holy spirit sheds light upon them, and as they are fulfilled in world events or in the experiences of God's people.Readjustments or changes in our view will occur because as the light increases,we grow in knowledge and understanding, discerning more fully the grand truths that Jehovah keeps revealing to us(Pr.4:18).And as God's people we are ready to make the necessary adjustments knowing that Jehovah God is directing us.

Last time I checked, the "Boys from Brooklyn" were still firmly in charge of the JW's.

And they still haven't learned how to properly translate Greek, either.

If you're concerned about an error, send them a note, or call them:

we are called Jehovah Witnesses. the watchtower is a magazine that we read on Sunday. we do not follow anything but the bible. we are imperfect just like you and many times there are errors. Jehovah God and Jesus Christ help us to see what is wrong. www.watchtower.org. read in revelation about the 144,000 anointed that go to heaven and the others that will be resurrected and live forever on earth. it is in the king james bible also. Jehovah did not change his mind. if Jehovah wanted us in heaven, why would he put us on earth just to get sick, grow old and die just to go back to heaven. Jehovah cannot lie and that is why Jesus Christ came to earth to die for our sins. if Jesus was a friend to Lazarus and when Lazarus died and came back from the dead, he would of said that he was in heaven and he never did. Jesus Christ knew that Lazaraus was not in heaven
