when I got up the other morning the vision from one eye just looked black at the bottom and I couldn't see anything out of that part of my eye and it seemed to have silver sparkles shooting around. That part of my eye still is blocked off. It is like seeing with only half of an eye.

Without knowing your medical history, seeing your eye or knowing anything that might have happened to you in the last 24hr i can't give you much advice really other then that you should see you GP. It's probably something minor, but with that presentation it could be central retinal artery/vein occlusion (or hemorrhage), embolus, retinal detachment, ischemic optic neuropathy the list goes on and on.

IMPORTANT: Please don't delay in seeing someone, it's probably something minor and reversible but if delayed can get worse and some permanent damage might be done. (Even if it has cleared up already, it is still very important you see your GP as it could point to a underlying medical condition or damage to the eye that needs to be corrected.)

Best of luck
