No. It is not bad to give the pig ears. You just need to be careful that you don't leave your dog alone while eating it. As in most treats (bones, raw hides, pig ears), they need to be supervised or they my choke on the treat.

I always think about the dutiful farmer that has for generations had dogs and given their dogs things like pig ears. Those are working dogs that deserve a little luxury. It makes your dog happy to eat it, right? Then just like humans, everything in moderation is ok.

Pigs ears are not considered bad since most sold in stores are prepared naturally. I do recommend that you keep an eye on him/her while the puppy is chewing cuz since its still young they could accidently not chew it properly enough and might choke on a piece . They usually can cough it back up but i recommend to also know Dog cpr as a resposible dog owner.

Pig ears are high in fat and high in protein. You should limit the pig ears you feed your dog to no more than one per day for large dogs (over 70 pounds) and proportionately less for smaller dogs.

Yes they are ok for dogs in moderation. Once or twice a week is good. My dog Blacky had them all his life and he lived til he was 16.
You might just want to watch them and make sure that they are not taking off huge bite that it might choke them.
Hope this Helps

Pig ears are not digestable by dogs and are chemically treated. They are not good for your dog.
