This is a question I am asking for my friend. She has a guy that she likes and wants to go out with. But her x told this guy alot of stuff about what they did when they were going out and now this guy doesn't like my friend because of what her x told him. What should she do? I tried to make this as simple has possible.

Plenty of other guys out there.
If he is that easily influenced in his thought patterns, she doesn't need him.
Besides, going out with her ex's friend is a bad idea anyway, because if she does, her ex and him will talk about her all the time.
Tell her to move on.

If the guy is not willing to find out for himself what she is like, then she is probably better off not getting involved with the guy. If he just judges on what the "ex" has to say, then he is not worth the trouble. And then there is the question of if the "ex" is slandering her or not.

Advise your friend to sit the new guy down to let him see reasons why he has to be himself and take his own decision.

Advise her to approach him on the subject. He's been warned off and will probobly avoid your friend, especially if he likes her. I think your friend may need to take initiative on this one.
