QUESTION EVERYTHING - FOLLOW NOTHING!!

so many faiths, too many gods, plenty of prophets and lots of sons of 'God' - and WORSE - so many many 'bibles' to read - you have to make your own choice!!

Following a religion blindly is not a good thing, neither is questioning everything about a religion just to be picky. It's supposed to be somewhere in the middle, using your mind to delve deeper and gain a greater understanding of the faith and God behind the religion.

I'm a Christian, I research my religion because I do not wish to have a flawed understanding of my faith. I will listen to what insights other people have about Christianity, but I will check their insights against the Bible and my own understanding.

You are saying Mr.A is your closest and best friend. You have 100% trust and faith on him. I am asking you what makes you to have trust on him and believe you? For sure you will never have answer to this. Because your belief in him is true which cannot be a calculative one, blind one, conditional one and it doesn't expect anything from him. Then what makes him a very good friend of you?
Religion is also like that. In spirituality you have many things apart from trust, faith, belief etc. You can take saints for example, based on their belifs and concepts human beings found religions but did saints follow any religions?
They were on their own way. So its not necessary either to question or to follow one religion or belief but the self awareness, truthfulness and love towards nature is what required to realize god.

If by questioning faith you mean to say does God really exist and why cant i see him then i cant help you. If your faith tells you to do things that contradict with whats right and whats wrong then by all means question it. Following a religion blindly is something no one should do. Everyone needs to understand what exactly is ment and questions help in most cases but in some cases we have to follow it blindly since we have no events that can relate with what is being said eg ressurection.

You should ALWAYS ask for proof - for anything!
How much proof does religion offer to their believers about their beliefs? hint: It's not 100%!?

If something is not 100% proven, then it is not true. Proof? By creating a direct, divine, personal relationship with Our Creator, GOD, we are creating something that is 100% proven. GOD is 100% proven, life is 100% proven, we are a part of life, and that's 100% proof! religion, once again, cannot prove their beliefs, so therefore, they are not spiritual, they are a mind, heart and soul controlling business. Ask Jesus! He would not be associated with ANY religion. He was not when he was alive, and he wouldn't be now, especially the religion(s) that made him a god (hint, hint, catholic, christianity). Look at the job a BORN AGAIN christian is doing, his name is: George W Bush.
GOD will personally hold him responsible for ALL the people killed in Pres Bushs' WAR. but...........
he's a Born Again christian, just like the christian's in the crusades, where christian's killed other christian's just because they did not believe what they believed in, in the name of their god. What a pity.
"religion is Spiritual fraud" - Jesus Christ
"religion is the Worst invention of humanity" - Jesus Christ

Create a private, personal, direct, divine relationship with Our Creator and save your Soul from religion.

Only with Our Creator's Love and Peace will we be Truely Free!

Without God, there is No Love; Without religion, there are No Wars!

The minds of christians are the easiest to be manipulated, especially when it come to Spiritual matters and the Truth - christian have believed lies for over 2000 years!
Its time to believe in the Truth and not religious lies and deceptions!

It is your faith (beliefs if you like) that counts. The 'church' or other religious leadership should not be dictating to you how or what to believe, that is where problems start. Be a humanist first then take for yourself whatever form of religion reflects what you truly believe.
Ultimately YOU and you alone are responsible for your thoughts and actions. You should be aware that what yousay what you think and what you do all affect your own well-being and the well-being of all your brothers and sisters(the rest of the earth's population)!

I think that questions are a part of the human nature, allowing us to chose what's best for us. However the christian faith is full of unanswered and unexplainable questions which plague our minds which frustration. I believe that asking questions in faith can also lead to a lack of faith--where as if you follow it blindly, you're either extremely disciplined, or very stupid.

Religions should always be under question. A religious mindset can stray and lead others away from the sound teachings of Christ. Even the elite will be misled. Discernment and sound guidance from the Holy Spirit is essential. Everything should be filtered through God's word.

Its always good to question, because thats how you learn about yourself and what YOU believe in, not what someone else has wrote for you...you are under no control from anything or anybody, and you have free-will and the brain capacity to learn about your religion, and what other religions are about, and then come to your conclusion..

My conclusion is they are all one in the same, fighting over who is right, when there is no answer...

and---this quote pretty much sums up me----

"If your Bible were to sit outside in the rain, the paper on which the words were written on would parish.
My Bible is the wind, the rain....and everything natural."

Question your faith.. But Take care, there's a different between what the follower of a certain religion do; and what God wants us to do. search for it and you'll find the real thing.

I believe the motive we have in questioning the word of God is very important. Do we question to want to know more of or to contradict God's word? If we really need more understanding we can talk someone more knowledgeable in the word. If we need revelation of the word we can seek the Holy Spirit for His input. As Christians we acknowledge the Bible as the true and infallible word of God. All we need is further revelation from the Holy Spirit on any unclear word. We therefore must have the right motive and to direct our questions to the right source. The best of all is the Holy Spirit, the author of the Bible.
