I would say follow the instructions that came with your microwave. Every one varies, so it is best to follow there advice. If you have a combination or grill attachment to your micrwave, so much the better.
Do not put anything metal into the microwave, and cook uncovered.

As a former chef and having worked with home types and commercial microwaves, one word of caution is that microwaves cook from the inside out, it heats the meat from the middle. So bones aid in the cooking.
If you hae a microwave with adjustable cooking power levels, longer more involved meats like beef and pork need slower cooking, poultry and ground meat need to be cooked quicker. I do currys with chicken, chili with beans and ground meat and sausages (before cooking poke them or like and egg, KABOOM).
We never cooked things in it when I was in the restaurant business, it was to finish or warm sauces or with packaged meats heat them quickly for reuben sandwiches or melt cheeses
