Yes, it can but the cut is not very smooth due to the nature of the wood. Plus the wood soaks up the water and can cause damage to the wood. Finally, since there are many other, simpler ways to cut wood, it is not normal to choose a water jet for the cutting.

It can cut wood, but there is a lot of splintering, and the cut must be left to dry entirely. A Circular saw is better.

Yes. It will cut cleanly with a very high pressure spray. The stuff is on the market. Why not use a saw? it's way cheaper.
