my bf, now ex bf dated for 19 months. i broke up with him not even a week ago and today i asked him while i was chatting with him on AIM if he already is interested insomeone, likes someone or is seeing or dating someone. just because we remained good friends and i wanted to see if he actually moved on or if there are still feelings. his answer was that "it was none of my business" as though i was asking too much of him and i told him that i do not care as his ex if he likes someone or is dating someone, since i was just curious. by his comment does he mean that he already found someone as a rebound in less than a week? ne help would be greatly appreciated!

i broke up with him because my emotions and my friends' stupid advice that they gave me got the best of me! as for my ex and i IM'ing we do that to keep in contact since we attend the same university as well as when we are not at school. we still have lunch and dinner together and shop together and talk on the phone. it seems like little has changed. he is the best thing that has happened to me realtionship wise and an awesome guy and i even told him that i cannot be his friend or best friend because i am still in love with him and he told me the same thing. what are we then?

probably that he hasn't found someone else, and doesn't want to appear unsuccessful in doing so in front of you. he'd rather appear like he is over you and moved on. thats just my guess.

Your trying very hard to make it sound like you are just curious as a "friend" but Im'ing him then asking the question in ya. is proving otherwise. If you broke up with him on a romantic basis then you really shouldnt care what he is doing.. unless you still have feelings for him. Asking him about is also like asking him if hes taken. Hes probably questioning your motives like i am. He might think you asked him that to see if there was a possiblility for the 2 of you to get back together.

Oh, sweetheart, don't torture yourself by picturing him with someone else.
Even if you feel you are friends, it's only been a week.
Don't IM him, don't answer if he does. Take a break.
Mourn the end of one relationship and find your center.. then you'll move on without caring what he's doing.

i think he might feel weird about the break up and be friends thing.
maybe he's still attached to you and feels awkward about talking about another girl-it may almost feel like he's cheating in a way, i guess. or maybe he's afraid you'll become jealous and psycho (not that you would, you sound pretty level).
who knows? just keep cool, give him space, and act as his buddy. it'll be a'ight after awhile :)

He is right, it is none of your business... His alone... He probably thinks you are trying to make him jealous or having a laugh at his expense... Don't sound like friends to me...
