Microsoft. It's a big company... ever heard of them?

Windows Vista is the next generation of operating system software for the PC. Within the next 3 years, it will grow to dominate the PC market and will be installed in over 80% of all workstations and personal computers in the world.

Visit http://www.microsoft.com and view the many on-line tutorials.

Disadvangages: SLOW, a poor choice of upgrade for an older computer. I fear that the flood of old and obsolete computers will be another environmental disaster.

Now you can wake up.

Good luck and Happy Computing!

Vista. some human beings say Vista makes use of up a lot equipment ram. it really is genuine. Vista makes use of those ram to % up the computer. Thats why there is not any longer a lot loose ram. Xp wastes those loose ram doing no longer some thing. Vista is even extra nicely acceptable than XP than u imagine it really is. Vista hasn't any problem to me for a million year already. Vista is faster at the same time as starting off software and initiating the computer. some human beings evaluate XP because they're too used to XP or they're gamer. it type of feels vista is slower in video games by 2-5 fps. No huge deal. VISTa!

It is the latest software launched by microsoft and also a failed campaign. If you ask around, you'd here people saying that Vista has damaged the durability of their computers and they are experiencing problems after upgrading to Vista. So if you're planning to buy a Vista, better not upgrade. Believe me, you'd save a heck of a lot of money if you just bought Windows pre-installed with Vista.

Is the newest version of windows. The developer is Microsoft. The 2 biggest disadvantages would be that is still very new and it still has to be tested by users, and the second would be that it needs a very big disk space.
But Microsoft hasn't disappointed us yet, so .... let's just wait and see if all of this disadvantages are for real.

The operating system, with shiny graphics interface, a lot of driver for newest hardware, and memory management system, which require 512MB of RAM, and several hundred $, only for booting your PC.

And it requires several hundreds more $ to upgrade your hardware and software to make it run properly with windows vista.

Windows Vista is the latest release of Microsoft Windows, a line of graphical operating systems used on personal computers, including home and business desktops. Prior to its announcement on July 22, 2005, Windows Vista was known by its codename "Longhorn".[1] On November 8, 2006, Windows Vista development was completed and released to manufacturing. Over the next two months it was released to MSDN, TechNet Plus and TechNet Direct subscribers, computer hardware and software manufacturers and volume license customers. On January 30, 2007, it was released worldwide to the general public,[2] and is available for purchase and downloading from Microsoft's web site.[3] These release dates come more than five years after the release of its predecessor, Windows XP, making it the longest time span between two releases of Windows versions.

According to Microsoft,[4] Windows Vista contains hundreds of new features; some of the most significant include an updated graphical user interface and visual style dubbed Windows Aero, improved searching features, new multimedia creation tools such as Windows DVD Maker, and completely redesigned networking, audio, print, and display sub-systems. Vista also aims to increase the level of communication between machines on a home network using peer-to-peer technology, making it easier to share files and digital media between computers and devices. For developers, Vista introduces version 3.0 of the .NET Framework, which aims to make it significantly easier for developers to write high-quality applications than with the traditional Windows API.

Microsoft's primary stated objective with Vista, however, has been to improve the state of security in the Windows operating system.[5] One common criticism of Windows XP and its predecessors has been their commonly exploited security vulnerabilities and overall susceptibility to malware, viruses and buffer overflows. In light of this, then Microsoft chairman Bill Gates announced in early 2002 a company-wide 'Trustworthy Computing initiative' which aims to incorporate security work into every aspect of software development at the company. Microsoft claimed that it prioritized improving the security of Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 above finishing Windows Vista, significantly delaying its completion.[6]

During the course of its development, Vista has been the target of a number of negative assessments by various groups. Criticism of Windows Vista has included protracted development time, more restrictive licensing terms, the inclusion of a number of new Digital Rights Management technologies aimed at restricting the copying of protected digital media, and the usability of new features such as User Account Control.
