Check S.B.S. television. They had a programme about some brain research.
During brain surgery a part of the brain was touched and the patient, a nun, said she saw Mary. Then they did similar surgery on an aethiest and patient also saw white lights and heavenly things. Apparently it is - a part of the brain + some chemicals + being in a susceptible condition that causes the whole thing. Nothing to do with religion except that some people including that nasty slave owning St Paul who got a nasty bout of de-hydration and was so 'up himself' that he said it was god.
In 2001 I died, it took ten hours to get me back properly. I did not see anything.

It is total nonsense - but living in a fantasy world has its benefits - you get to replce the things you don't like with more of what you do like - I think that gives you at least a partial & good explanation.
Why do people turn evangelist? I have no idea, one guess would be from remorse about what they have done when they were younger & selfisher

NO NO NO and reason is the rapture was a dream a thirteen year old girl had in about 1850. Her uncle was a publisher and made a fortune selling it in his new bible. Saw on national geographic. True story.

Because they have all these silly videos that they bring children up on in church! I used to have to watch a series called 'Rapture'
I beleive a version of it will happen, but it will be more people disappearing due to radiation attacks than anything

No, because that would require a god, and there is no evidence that any exist.

No, I don't. Simple: because my God is not a God of distruction.
