Seriously... JUST STOP DRINKING IT

The headacjes usually appear around the time the caffeine is leaving the body and coming out of the system.

What I found helped for me was to gradually reduce the amount of tea / coffee I was drinking.

Incidentally I also found it was mainly due to the coffee and not the tea, but that could have been personal.

Take one less cup a day to begin with, or if you use freeze dried add a smaller amount to each cup (although this tastes pretty foul after you've reduced it too much).
When you find that your caffeine intake is reasonably low then try to give up totally. Hopefully the headaches won't be as bad... if you do get the headaches just sit through it if you can, once it's out of your system your head won't hurt so much...

Going back to the caffeine means next time you give up you'll get the headaches again, so maybe try the de-caff if you get caffein cravings again.

Seriously...I've been through this and it was no picnic. Three weeks of caffeine headaches, but the tribulation was well worth it.

I suggest a gentle weening. If you still want to drink coffee, try making the coffee with 1/4 decaf, 3/4 regular. After a week, move to 1/2 and 1/2. Next week 3/4 decaf, 1/4 regular, then straight decaf.

The biggest problem with trying to quit anything like that is the mental hold you have, not just the physical cravings.

Good luck!

Switch to decaf (even decaf has extremely minute fragments of caffeine) and then when you get a headache, just take some Tylenol, aspirin, whatever for the headache.

After 1 week you'll be over it and be just fine.

Another option is to quit drinking coffee all together and take the headache meds for that 1 week.

Either or, just switch to whatever doesn't have the caffeine and rely on the Tylenol, etc for the week until you're over it.

I had to quit caffeine in certain forms like tea. But for some reason I can drink caffeine (in limited quantities) like one can a day of cola or a small cup of coffee with milk in it. Try cutting back your use in half or a third.. then substitute something else in limited quantities.. eventually the headaches will stop too but it may take weeks.

Taper down.

Take a day and drink all you want. Mark it down each time.

Next day, go one less. Skipping one out of four, for example, shouldn't start a headache.

Do that for a week. Then go one less.

If you're in a hurry to quit, go without until you just start to feel a headache, and havva cuppa. Do that again. Keep doing it...don't have it until you start feeling the pressure that leads to the ache. Eventually you'll realize you haven't had coffee or headache for quite some time.

You have to quit cold turkey, after about 3 days the headaches should stop, but you need to do it completely. How about caffeine free coffee.....?

try drinking something else. try something different. there are sme energy drinks out there w/out caffeine in them that will keep u awake and energized thruogh out the day if needed to be. but try a new kind of drink and it might help u stop w/ all the caffeine too. its ok to have a little caffeine every once in a while but dont drink it all the time especially coffee. its bad for ur teeth and ur breath.

Yep. The trick is to do it SLOWLY by way of fact caffeine dilates (makes smaller) blood vessels. Quitting chilly turkey provides you with adverse issues. in case you regularly drink 3 sturdy cups of coffee, drink 2 cups for each week. next, drink a cup for each week. Then drink a a million/2 cup for each week. For the subsequent week, drink decaf (you're nevertheless have the flavor, and it has in hassle-free terms a sprint of caffeine.) After which you're off!! additionally, do no longer drink soda with caffeine; %. 7up or sprite or coke/pepsi without caffeine. that is rather common to get decrease back to the place you're and examine labels of all sodas; mountain dew, dr pepper, and so on have greater advantageous than nicely-known coke or pepsi. sturdy luck!
