from april 2005 to august 2005, i payed £1600.I left my work in august 2005 to go travelling so was not registered unemployed etc... would this money be rebated if i claim before this april?

also i had savings in my saving account which ive payed tax on, can i claim this back..

i have only just returned back to UK..

where do i go to make my claim etc

any help appreciated

Yes, you can claim the tax back. Send you P45 to the Tax Office dealing with your last employer (if you dont know where this is, phone the HMRC helpline and if you quote the reference number, they will give you the address). In the letter, tell them you were not working or claiming from August 2005 and want to claim back the tax. For the savings account, you will need a statement from the bank showing interest earned and tax deducted for each tax year and submit these with your letter. You have 6 years to claim, so don't panic!
If you have a Tax Enquiry Centre where you live, you can take your P45 in to them and they will forward it to the right place for you.

those records have not been released yet. At $9,000.00 you will no longer get the full $six hundred.00 yet you will get some thing. the objective remains have the recipient spend the money to stimulate the economic equipment and save america out of a recession.
