Have you spoken to your dentist? That's what they are there for right? ;-) If there is swelling it may be an abces and all that needs to be done is that the dentist will drain it out. I had this a few weeks ago and now it's all gone! :-) Reall, you should speak to your dentist and have him check it out! Good luck!

Definately go to the dentist and get an xray of that area. Let the doctor diagnose it. It is possible that the infection spread to the tooth next to it before it was pulled. Or you could've had a case of "dry socket" before the gum tissue healed. Either way, it needs to be checked before it spreads. Until then, put a wet tea bag over the area to reduce some of the pain and swelling.

U should go to the dentist, U could have an infection or a gingivitis, but its hard to tell with only what u are saying. To give a proper diagnosis is vital to do a clinical exam, an x ray and dental history. Good luck

Get some oil of clove or even carry some cloves from your spice rack in your pocket and keep one in your mouth over the sore place.
You should go back to the dentist and find out why it still hurts.
