There's a couple of natural solutions that can help you relax to sleep.
Valerian - A root from a plant that helps to relax the body and induces sleep. It's a natural remedy and this product can be found at drug stores, and also speciality stores.
Melatonin - A hormone that your body makes - which helps you to sleep. You can buy it as an over-the-counter supplement to help your body's sleep rythmes.
A lot of people that have problems sleeping have benefited from doing a type of sleep ritual. About an hour before bedtime - change into your night clothes. Make a point to leave the rest of the day behind and concentrate on relaxing. Make sure you use your bedroom only for sleep purposes. Don't sit in bed and do a lot of other things or work if you are having problems sleeping. That will make it harder for your body becuase you are associating your bed with work - not sleep. Drinking a soothing liquid - hot chocolate, tea - or taking a bath or long warm shower can also help relax you. Also, certain smells such as lavender, vanilla etc are soothing and calming and can be used to help the body relax.
This can be hard to do if you are especially busy and pulling all-nighters etc. But it's worth the effort to try.
There was a recent study that said if you don't get enough sleep (7-8 hours a night, some only need 6 depends on the person) you have a very high chance of gaining 10+ pounds by the end of the year.
If natural remedies don't help you can talk to your doctor about a sleeping pill. Lunesta works well - does not have high dependency risks. Also - your stress levels don't help your sleep. You need to be able to let go at the end of the day. Find ways to get rid of the stress - through exercise etc so that you will be more relaxed when you hit bedtime.

Fear not sleeplessness.
Do some physical exercise before going to bed. Change the subject of your thinking. Remeber the good things in life. Make a poem. Work naturally until you feel very sleepy. If you are religious, pray and meditate about some hard subject such as life and death. If you realize that death is nothing to fear, then sleeplessness is more easily to overcome. Finally, your body will succumb to sleep if it becomes itself physically and mentally tired.
Yes, the secret is fearlessness and let your body work naturally even for the whole night.

You're a control freak. You're afraid you'll lose control of the circumstances and problems in your life, so you stay awake. Decide to stop worry, allow yourself to drift off, and decide to worry about your problems when you wake up in the morning.

before sleeping try to think about the Creator of universe, about yourself, your body structure that Allah (swt) (Creator) has given you....for example; see the followings. You will notice during these beautifull thinkings you will get deep and harmoniously sleep with colorful dreams.
Do u know our eyelashes, eyebrows, bones and teeth stop growing when they reach a certain length. However, hair does not stop growing. In other words, whereas those body parts the growth of which will be disadvantageous and unsightly stop growing, hair, the growth of which is aesthetically pleasing, keeps on growing. Besides that, there is perfect harmony and proportion in the growth of bones. For example the bones of the upper human limbs do not grow unnecessarily long leaving the body relatively undersized. Their growth comes to a halt just in time as if each knows how long it should grow. Who placed just as much as is necessary of hormones and enzymes in the body thus determining the growth of everything?
Our eyes are taking 10 pictures per second. So on a daily basis, the eyes are constantly taking 576,000 pictures if a person sleeps for 8 hours. Which camera in this world can continue to function for years and years without being electronically charged like the eyes? Indeed, the creations of Allah are something to think about.
In addition, an average eye blinks 12 times a minute. That's an amazing 11,520 blinks a day if a person sleeps for 8 hours. There are diseases which prevent a person from blinking by causing the eye lids not to open or close. The people suffering from such diseases trully understand the value of blinking. Let us thank Allah for allowing us to blink over 10,000 times a day without paying a dollar.
Do u know it is a favour from our Allah (God) that we live in a vibrant multi-coloured world. Every colour we see in nature, colours are all signs of the matchless art and unique creation of Allah. The colours of a flowers, birds, insects, animals, trees, stones, mountains, sea, sky etc., the fact that nothing disturbs our eyes in nature, that, for instance, the colours of the seas, the sky, and the trees are in tones that give us peace and do not exhaust our eyes, show the perfection of Allah's creation. Reflecting on all these, we come to understand that everything we see around us is a work of the infinite knowledge and omnipotence of Allah.
"Allah (swt) Says in Glorious Quran:
He Who has created all things in the best possible way. He commenced the creation of man from clay; then produced his seed from an extract of base fluid; then formed him and breathed His Spirit into him and gave you hearing, sight, and hearts. What little thanks you show! (Surat as-Sajda: 7-9)"
All the creatures we see are each a clear sign of Allah's art. In the same manner, great miracles are hidden in microscopic creatures as well. The virus, bacterium or mite which are all invisible to us, have their own bodily mechanisms. Allah created their habitats, feeding patterns, and reproductive and defence systems. One who reflects on these facts remembers Allah's verse:
"How many creatures do not carry their provision with them! Allah provides for them and He will for you. He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. (Al-Qur’an: Surat al-‘Ankabut: 60)"
Signs of Allah in a fly
The fly flaps it wings approximately 500 times per second while flying. In fact, no man-made machine could operate at such a rate, but would shatter and burn because of friction. However, neither the wings, muscles, nor the joints of the fly are harmed. Taking into account the direction and speed of the wind, it can fly in any direction without being diverted. Even with our current technology, man is very distant from producing a device with these extraordinary features and techniques of flight. Yet such an insignificant living being, which man brushes aside and pays no attention to, achieves something remarkable that man so far has been unable to achieve. Allah has given the fly all its outstanding characteristics and abilities
The Glorious Qur’an says:
"O men! Here is
A parable set forth! Listen to it! Those On whom, besides Allah, You call, cannot create (Even) a fly, if they all Met together for the purpose! And if the fly should snatch Away anything from them, They would have no power To release it from the fly. Feeble are those who petition
And those whom they petition!" [Al-Qur’an 22:73]
