My nephew's father has never really been there for him, but he's six now & he's beginning to understand what it means to not have him around. His father never gives him gifts for his b-day or X-mas & he only sees him a few hrs a month, if that. A lot of times, he's said he would come see my nephew & then never came. When he does see him, he never plays w/ him, he just passes him onto his girlfriend, who could care less by the way. So, he ends up playing by himself. Now, he just filed for bankruptcy, knowing that this car dealership he never repaid will go after my sis b/c she was w/ him & signed the papers at that time. He's also threatening to call immigration b/c her fiance is here illegally & he talks about all this stuff in front of my nephew. I know b/c he tells me how sad & angry he is at his dad. I'm sick of all his crap & want to tell him to stay the hell away from my nephew. But I'm forbidden to b/c if I make him mad then my sis thinks he'll call immigration. Advice?

I'm afraid permanent damage is being done to my nephew, b/c he used to give hugs & kisses freely, say "I love u", laugh & giggle a lot. Now, he is so different. He won't let any of us touch him-only his mom can give him hugs. The same is true w/ saying "I love u"- only to her. Otherwise he gets angry if we try to kiss him or hug him or say "I love u". He seems to be angry a lot these days & disobeys a lot. I know his heart is broken. B/c of his father, he feels rejection, abandonment, worthless, not good enough, unloved, etc... I know I'm not his mother, but it's so obvious of what's going on & that it needs to be stopped now be4 these seeds go any deeper & they begin to root. He needs help & I don't know how. I've tried to talk to my sis into taking my neph. into therapy for a couple yrs. now w/ no luck. Any other suggestions. By the way, her ex has no phone to contact him and nobody in the family, except maybe her knows where he lives. So, I can't call him or write him.
