There are plenty of people visible on Google Earth.
It's just that the resolution of the pictures is not as good as you think in some places, and places aren't as full of people as you think. In many areas the resolution is only good enough to see cars as coloured shapes - then it's very difficult to pick out people. If you find places where the picture was taken early AM or late PM, it's easier to see them because they cast long shadows - and if you look at places where there are likely to be lots of people gathered (sports venues, shopping malls etc.) and where the resolution of the picture is really good you can see loads of people.

check tianman square - beijing on google earth you will find people, but yes most of the places people are missing.

Ppl get pissed off if they have photos taken of them without permission-theres all this legal stuff involved. Ide imagine Google has some proffesional program to get rid of them. ide love to know the name of it.....
