i heard from my cousin's mum as she is a medical worker..and i eat fisherman's friend daily and im certainly addicted to it..anybody can confirm this?

There is no way anyone can tell.
Unless there is an identified carcinogen in the ingredients, a test lasting years would have to be done where a group eat alot of fishermans friend and then compare the results of haw many of those people died from cancer to the norm.
This result would have to be repeatable. Taking more time.
This test hasnt happened yet.

overconsumption of anything can cause serious problems, be it cancer or otherwise. Don't take them if your throat is fine, i think they do have warning on the package that if your condition don't improve, consult your doctor to diagnose the problem.
