perhaps you mean the Southern Highlands. glow worms are found in Bundanoon about 15 minutes walk from the centre of town.

I'm not too sure about the south highlands of NSW, but there is a glow worm cave near Coffs Harbour, Norther NSW. You can take a 4wd Tour from the City, you'll have dinner on the mountain, see lots of stars and visit the Glow worm cave. Its a good tour.
