i have disk for service pack 2

to find out which SP is installed in your computer, right click My computer, select Properties (this will put you on System Properties screen). In here, you will see it said Windows XP with SPx. If you have SP1, you're lost touch with the update, so do yourself and your computer a favor, Click Start, All Programs, Windows Update (way on the top of the list) and have the Windows download the necessary updates for youl. Do the Express one, it will scan and let you download the most important ones (critical updates). You should be set after installed the updates. You might need to restart your computer after the updated, then recheck again, see if XP has download the SP2.

If you're still on dial-up, you can request MS sends you a copy of SP2 CD for free (including free S&H), can't beat that :)

Service pack 2, u can dowloa it from the microsoft website. right click on "my computer" and go to properties to see if u have sp 1 or 2 first.

believe it or not xp is actually more stable then vista
