Maida is available in the form of flour and widely used in making Rotis which actually should not be used.

I heard it is NOT made up of wheat that is why it is so heavy to digest and is sticky as compared to wheat flour.

Maida is made from wheat. Yes, it does not have much nutritional value (lot of foods do not) but nevertheless it is not only edible but also a raw material for a number of sweets.

Maida is maid from a quality of good wheat.
It is very much like a smooth powder and used in bread,toast and confectionery items.
Rot is also made by Maida but in south India only.General public of India use some thick form.That is called "AATA".

Maida is made up of Wheat, no doubt.Because it is very finally grinded ,it is not very easily digested.

its actually a kind of flour like atta.which gives ur dish more softness. but i think its not good using it
