Lord is very close to the old (not sure if it is Hebrew or Aramaic) language of God saying, "I AM" So the Lord is the I AM is a bit redundant even though it best describes it. Look at Romans 10:9 where it says, "That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." And then verse 10 of the same chapter goes on to say, "For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." Now as far as Jesus goes, Jesus is God. God has three parts to him, God, the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit of God. Rather hard to grasp for most, probably all, people. But Jesus died so that we could once again be God's Children.
Hope that helps

A Lord (Laird in some Scottish contexts) is a male who has power and authority. It can have different meanings depending on the context of use. Women will usually (but not universally) take the title 'Lady' instead of Laird or Lord. An example of a female Lord is the Lord of Mann.
In a religious concept, The Lord is a name referring to God, mainly by the Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Islam, and Christianity).
The etymology of the English word lord goes back to Old English hlaf-weard (loaf-guardian) – reflecting the Germanic tribal custom of a superior providing food for his followers. The female equivalent, Lady, may come from words meaning "loaf-kneader".
In feudalism, a Lord (French: seigneur) has aristocratic rank and claims dominion over a portion of land and the produce and labor of the serfs living thereon. The serf would swear the oath of fealty to the Lord, or "keeper of the loaves". Such lords normally inherit their position and theoretically expect allegiance similar to that owed to a monarch.
As part of the heritage of feudalism, the word lord can generally refer to superiors of many kinds, e.g. "landlord". In many cultures in Europe the equivalent term serves as a general title of address equivalent to the English "Mister" (Spanish Señor, Italian Signore, Dutch Meneer/Mijnheer/De Heer (as in: to de heer George Johnson), German Herr) or to the English formal "you" (Polish Pan). Compare "gentleman".
In Islam, there is only one "Lord" ie. one and the only GOD ALMIGHTY, Omnipotent, Omnipresent. His name is ALLAH and has so many good attributes.
Chapter 87. Al-Ala (The Most High, Glory To Your Lord In The Highest)
1. Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High,
2. Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion;
3. Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance;
4. And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture,
5. And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble.
Chapter 113. Al-Falaq (The Daybreak, Dawn)
1. Say: I seek refuge with the Lord of the Dawn
2. From the mischief of created things;
3. From the mischief of Darkness as it overspreads;
4. From the mischief of those who practise secret arts;
5. And from the mischief of the envious one as he practises envy.
Chapter 114. An-Nas (Mankind)
1. Say: I seek refuge with the Lord and Cherisher of Mankind,
2. The King (or Ruler) of Mankind,
3. The God (for judge) of Mankind,-
4. From the mischief of the Whisperer (of Evil), who withdraws (after his whisper),-
5. (The same) who whispers into the hearts of Mankind,-
6. Among Jinns and among men.

i dont think you are too far off on discerning the truth.
However if you believe the bible and more precisely the book of revelation, it clearly says that We are called to worship the LAMB as well and God the Father.
i know how it can seem to be idolatry if we worship Gods Son, but its actually NOT.
Jesus was the Spirit God whom Moses and Abraham followed, so in truth HE is the I AM.
but if you know about the theology of hte godhead, you will come to believe that Jesus truly was given the throne of God when He ascended to the Father. All power and authority was given to him. So in a sense He is God. but if you look into the scriptures Some day the Son of God will give those of us who OVERCOME all things the throne, or a similar throne, in like manner that he received the throne of Our Father in Heaven. Jesus will be OUR God and We will be His sons.
Of course Jesus said he gives us all the power to become sons of God. And angels are called the sons of God. but not all sons of God become creators and saviours. It is possible, but it is also possible for angels to REBEL and make war against God and therefore they are cast out of Gods kingdom as sons of perdition.
it is not punishable by God through Jesus, to be condemned for worshipping Them Both because they both are part of the 3 that rule in Heaven over planet earth.
i believe for every planet that is inhabited by Mankind there is a need for a saviour, and i believe part of being called to the priesthood is the beginning of fulfilling the sacrifice of those that take upon them the name of Jesus christ and therefore fulfill the covenant of the gospel in the fulness of eternity. So that children of God, (the eloihem) can be redeemed who have not yet been born or yet redeemed by this same covenant.
