If you wanted to show friends great places to go to ,while they were visiting...what would you show them..where would you take them to,and why?
Would you have any great stories or historical things to tell them about these great places? What would they be?

why do you like the hang outs...any reason in particular?

I used to love hanging just at starbucks..and or certain dessert places...or places to sit outside...with good friends...it was very relaxing...(the coffee and dessert places..I liked and still like those places...because of the people I get to talk with..and meet, and just the really nice atmosphere! I remember really having fantastic conversations with so many interesting people at dessert & coffee places...people I have never known, or seen again...and I would group together and just talk about life..and all sorts of interesting and funny topics...Now, that is a great way to "reach out" and meet new people!!!!

I would take them to Hollywood and show them the fashionable place of the past, now taken over by drug dealers, prostitutes and illegal aliens. Then I will take them through the city and show them the 'Glory that was greater LA', as follows:

How about Melrose Blvd, previously a nice residential area, now taken over by boutique shops and side walk eateries where gays gather to see and be seen. Cool place to "hang", lots of action if you are looking for that kind of thing

Oh, there is Beverly Hills, CA 90202. . .these were the homes of past movie stars now occupied by Iranians who fled after the Shae was deposed.

What about well maintained Arcadia, beautiful homes which used to be only second to Beverly Hills, now occupied by Taiwanese and Hong Kong expats after the Brits moved out of HKK.

We can go to Glendale on the edge of LA, previously the bedroom community of WASPS, now a financial district with malls and high rise, all because of industrious Armenian immigrants.

There are many more extreme and interesting changes in the city, but we ran out of time. Oh the previous residents all moved out to the suburbs and live in new four and five bedroom homes and commute long distances to work.

I would take them to the seaside, to the highest peak in my city so as to have a panoramic view and to the most famous cultural / archaeological site of the city. I would also take them to the historical center of the city. And of course, I would freshen up my knowledge on these sites. So, in Athens Greece I would take them to the seaside near the ancient temple of Poseidon to see the sunset, I would take them to the Parthenon, to Lycabettus hill, and to Plaka. And then I would take them to at least one current art exhibition or musical show.
