You could try calling the Ritz, but you have a limited time slot to get in and out (I thinks it's only 45 minutes) and they're usually pretty booked up.
Why don't you try other hotels such as the Goring hotel in Belgravia which is just as exclusive (counts Russell Crowe , Gwen Stefani, etc as it's recent guests) but less stuffy and cheaper! Also try others such the Dorchester.
By the way I don't work in hotels, I just know people who work in them (including the above) and this is their opinion. Hope this helps.

you do not need to book for tea at the ritz just walk in .if there is a table free you can even have lunch or dinner.

You have to BOOK for a cup of tea? What! I read you have to follow a dress code too on here a few weeks ago. It makes that spontaneous thirsty feeling impossible! Have a good time. How much does it cost? That would be worth knowing.
