How can I find out if someone in my family served in the Korean War?

is there a list or database on the internet, free if possible, also family history, what is the best way to start researching, it all looks quite confusing

I am in the UK and just wanted to know how I could prove that a member of family had fought in Korea or not. Is there a list of combatants posted or availiable
