I mean no offence by this question but are you pregnant? Pregnancy can cause breast tenderness and pain. If not, I recommend that you get a mammogram and/or a CT scan. Does breast cancer run in your family? Or any other types of breast problems? Have your breast's been growing? It could be something similar to growing pains. I recently just had surgery for Ovarian Cancer and I had to hound my doctors to keep looking because I just knew there was something wrong. If I hadn't kept asking questions and going back, I would of lost my entire reproductive system. So keep asking questions. If you are not satisfied with the answers you are getting with your regular doctor, don't be afraid to get a second opinion. Feel free to email me if you need anything else!
-Hope this helps!

Being you are concerned and the answers don't seem to satisfy you I'd see if you can have a mammogram or make an appt with an oncologist (cancer doctor). I can tell you GP don't always know if one has cancer and they sure in the hell not God. Pain is a sign of something. What is the question that you need answered.
Remember it is your body and you must at all times be proactive!
Check out Breastcancer.org. it is a good website. They have a online forum and chat room. That might be helpful also as all the women in their have BC and many are young.
Keep being proactive it is your life. Good luck!!

When I was 20 I had a lump in my breast that was very sore. I went to the doctor and the doctor diagnosed it in about 5 seconds. It was a condition called mastitis, which is just an inflammation or infection of the milk ducts. It usually happens to pregnant or nursing women, but can happen to any woman (I was neither pregnant or nursing). The doctor gave me an antibiotic and told me to take Aleve (naproxen sodium) for pain. It was gone in 2 days. To ease your mind some more, most breast cancers are not painful. But to be safe, go see your doctor :) Good Luck!

When I was your age I ended up having to go to the Dr. because I was experiencing severe pain in one breast. Now mind you, at that time I had smallish boobs so my Dr. was able to find a very, very tiny cyst that I had for some reason, and my excessive Pepsi (caffeine) consumption was making it hurt! She told me to stop with the caffeine and sure enough the pain went away. Weird but true. :o) Good luck!

Get a mamogram, as it will show if anything is abnormal, and also get a ct scan. I had both and it showed I had a small 4 millimeter cyst, which is not cancerous. So get a mamogram to rule cancer out. Caner is not usually painful, it sounds like you have a cyst that needs to be removed.

Try to get a copy of the Susan Love Breast Book. Most public libraries have it, and see if there is any information on your condition that can help.

Maybe type of bra u wear, check if fitting properly. They also say Breast Cancer is the silent killer, usually no pain in breast just lumps.
Not so serious - stop having the doctor feel u up.

I'm not sure but cancer doesn't generally hurt....you don't mention if you have had a mammogram...if you haven't, then ask your doctor to order one and then you will know for certain...good luck
