They are fantastic! I brought one around 4 months ago. Before I used to get a really sore neck and shoulder (and bizarre rib pains) every morning, plus I used to wake up every night at least 5 times. Now I can actually sleep all the night through and have no pain upon waking at all. Must warn you though - it took me a good week to get used to the Matress and thought about getting rid of it because I struggled to sleep on it at all to begin with but you're body adjusts to it eventually so just be persistent with it!

I have had two lots of serious back surgery and Im just over 30. I bought a new mattress just after my last surgery, as like most people, in the past have thought a good firm mattress was the way to go. I went for a soft, pillow top mattress and it is absolutely fantastic and has made such a difference to the pain I used to experience in the morning. My boyfriend has a latex matress and I would say that there is no difference for me in terms of the pain increase/decrease between the two. If you are going to stretch your finances with the latex, have a look at the really soft pillowtops.

Both Mrs Eep and I have had back pain for years, and the mattress was probably 50% of the treatment that makes normal life possible.

we were lucky; we got the entry-level Dunlopillo mattress several years ago before the prices really went crazy. Despite the price, and despite the cheaper competitors out there now, I'd still say Dunlopillo.

But go to a bed shop and lie down on a bunch of mattresses before you make your mind up - they are all very different, and you need the one that really suits your back. Having a fit of monkish self-denial and buying the one that's as hard as granite might not actually help your back. Likewise, the fluffy dreamy cloudlike one won't help either. Find the one that works.

PS Leslie Lavender didn't pay enough for her memory foam.

i had had a bad back for 13 years and always used a firm orthopaedic mattress but thought it was time for a change and went for a memory foam mattress from home base, my husband loves it but my back is terrible. I have spent a week on it so last nigh i slept in our spare bed which is a orthopaedic mattress and what a difference no tossing and turning and no pain when i woke up. so i am now after a king size orthopaedic again, hope this helps. the memory foam was £259.00 i think and theres one at £400 something. hope this helps

i also suffer with back pain so i would be interested to see how you get on if you do buy a matress maybe you could let me know?

I have always thought about investing in one myself as they look remarkable, you can also get ones that go over the top of your matress which may be a cheaper option.

If you could let me know how you get on i would appreciate it.

Thanks and Good Luck.

i used to have back pain, then we got a memory mattress..... great..... although the first few nights I though we had wasted our money. Takes a few nights to get used to. I wouldn't have any other now..
