OK so I saw the FBorFW strip today and was wondering about the 2 years less a day sentence. Is that a standard leniency thing to allow them to stay in a provincial prison instead of federal?

actually, by taking away 1 day, it takes away the ability for early release. I once asked my husband in regards to a case he was working how you could keep them from reducing someone's sentence for "good behavior" and that was his answer. He gave me a long explanation, but this is just the general idea of it.

Very good question though

yes,but most convicts opt to insult the judge so they can go federal.that way,you have better programs and accomodations, plus youre eligible for the fast track program to get out early.or so ive heard.
