Yes - just like "Operation Northwoods", when the U.S. government made detailed plans to fake plane crashes so to trick the public into supporting an invasion of Cuba. Did Duhbya really think the world wouldn't notice that there was NO attempt whatsoever to evacuate hundreds of schoolchildren (and himself) from the elementary school where he was scheduled (and widely publicized) to be, as would be REQUIRED in the event of a REAL terrorist attack?

Interesting question. However, I think that you're presupposing the purpose of the original exercise. It was not merely a vehicle for initiating a war with Iraq, it was a vehicle for initiating military and "security" actions domestically and internationally.

Furthermore, it served as a means to re-prioritize military spending which had waned following the conclusion of the cold war. However, you can't go to war unless you have an enemy and the only plausible enemy would be the various factions within Islamic Eurasia.

Finally, the strategic advantage of Iraq cannot be underestimated. The overthrow of Hussein's government, coupled with the overthrow of the Taliban in Afghanistan, created a power vacuum in Iraq which attracted the various Shiite and Sunni Muslim paramilitary factions to vie for control of the region. In short all of this has served to preoccupy these groups from planning serious attacks on the USA while at the same time allowing the USA to insert military forces into the area to oversee the results of this "experiment".

Now, the problems with this "experiment" are these: 1) it still claiming the lives of US soldiers, which is, in turn, fueling an anti-war effort domestically, 2) it's incredibly short-sighted as, eventually, some faction will come to power and, more than likely, will need to be anti-USA to appease certain elements of whatever "coalition" it assembled, 3) it forces the USA to continue to operate to create civil unrest in the area.

it quite is utter nonsense. check out the substantial errors this guy and his cronies have made provided that 2001 and then reconsider no remember if he could have the capacity to coming up with the plan that leveled those homes. further, do you quite think of that his plan could be so sturdy that it does not be thoroughly evident that he replaced into in the back of it? You supply him way too lots credit. There at the instant are not any actual comparisons between Bush and Hitler till you pass to fundamentals like they are the two male.

You are still an idiot! AND the military is an all volunteer system. If you and your lib husband are against the war then why did he LIE when he took his oath, then why did he "volunteer" in the first place? Maybe he should go AWOL and both of you move to France.

Sorry, forgot, to a lib an oath of allegiance is only valid if it meets your liberal definition and goes in the direction of the wind.

LIKE AN IGNORANT ****
... it was actually the intellectually handicapped suicide muslim bombers whose families were paid by Bin Laden (then killed straight after).
Bin - who was tricked by Al Queda that the muslims of the world were going to rise up for a holy war and think he was great actually did the western world a favour....
Because by chasing his skinny legs around the terrorists havens of the world - Bush and every other sane nation that backs him saw the human right violations these muslims have caused that have been hidden away.
As for you....you are an idiot.

If you believe such lies then you are so delusional that your dislike of Bush and comparison of him to Hitler is absolutely meaningless.

Your grasp of reality has long since vanished.
