He founded the SOCIETY OF JESUS (followers known as JESUITS), and developed the rigorous SPIRITUAL EXERCISES. The Society of Jesus was instrumental in the COUNTER-REFORMATION of the Catholic Church.

Ignatius Loyola, founder of the Jesuits. Famously stated, 'Give me a child 'til he's seven and I've got him for life.' Possibly why the Society of Jesus has so much influence. Indoctrinate the very young.

Short and sweet. He is the founder of the Jesuits. A notorious and militant branch of the catholic church responsible for the destruction of countless cultures and people through a violent enforcement of the True faith. The Jesuits got out of hand and later popes disbanded the order. They were mean and unsavory bunch.
