Absolutely not! If any sort of comparison can be made as you suggest, it would have to be the Democrats. Afterall, just the abortion issue alone makes it more valid focused towards the Democrats as they support maximum abortion allowability.
The Democrats are socialists. If they had supreme power, in time, the USA would become a mediocre country much the same as the European countries are today. Socialism simply does not work. Socialism is only slightly different than communism and we saw that collapse in the former Soviet Union.
So, you'll find the hardcore liberals are all democrats and they would be the ones that support abortion, hate Christianity, favor homosexual unions, and are against much of the core foundational beliefs that made this country great (like Christianity).
If I were to label anyone as the "false prophets" it would have to be the Islamic clerics. They control many people and spread hate and discontent throughout the world.
