I pet my kitty constantly and she NEVER pets me! I find this to be quite rude. How can I help my kitty to she how inconsiderate she's being?

Thank you Aken, but I already wash my face that way and I find that cat food is yummy AND good for urinary tract health.

Kitty just doesn't get it. :(

That's easy silly. Make it a rule that you swap roles every Sunday or something. She gets the bed and tv. You eat dry / canned food from her bowl and lick your paws to wash your face. It's only a matter of time before she notices the sarcasm and starts feeling embarassed.

Neither does the owner apparently...

Cats have a brain built in such a way that they believe we are their's... Do you get it? And those brains are as various as ours, so you can get so many different styles of behaviour... Now, it's just a kitty, let her grow... and you'll see the change day after day.

Are you sure she isn't petting you? Does she stand on your leg and 'make biscuits'? Sometimes driving nails into you with loving purring tender care?

Perhaps she gives you a little face wash til you're pleading for her to stop sandpapering you?
Does she push her tush up to your hand when you're stroking her?
Does she rub her face on your leg and meow?
These are all ways kitties pet their loved ones...be sure you are speaking 'Kitty'.

Dogs have owners; Cats have staff.

She's not your pet. You are her pet. Be glad she lets you pet her and accept that. It's an honor when our furbabies let us into their lives.

You can stop giving her so much attention and let her come to you.
