If you get into a regular sleeping schedule, there's typically a big REM period in the last hour and half of sleep.

it happens sporadically after the first few hours. If you want to try and wake up during one set the alarm for an hour or two earlier than you normally get up, maybe 5-6 hours of sleep. I wake up to a dream anytime i wake up to an alarm.

Put a camcorder on if You need to see when you go into REM
I trained myself as a child to lucid dream just by telling myself before sleep, you are going to dream,it is not real.I can change things in my dream or I tell myself wake up.I have done this all my life.

Record yourself falling asleep. When you start to make a retarded-looking face, I'm sure that's when.
