Hinduism is mainly a philosophy to tell us about the mysteries of Universe, life and death and God

Hinduism does not have a code of conduct controlling the masses, like some religions.

It does have a code of conduct for meditation and yoga.

Marriages etc are performed as per local customs, as India is a multi ethnic society.

There is however no bar on such marriage as per customs in North India

And, Mainul,atheists are not always ignorant about religious practices.

I would suggest you to do a search on the web. I doubt there is any Hindu on Yahoo Answers. This place is filled with mostly Muslims, Christians, and atheists.
