Personally, I think it has alot to do with pride. Everybody, to some degree, has pride. I have pride and sometimes it gets me into trouble. I think that for some people, turning their life completely over to Jesus, is unthinkable.

Wow. If one of your beliefs are that atheists are afraid of your god, then I'd hate to see how illogical and absurd your other beliefs must be.
'Something has to exist to be denied it's existence' - Apart from the obvious grammatical problem, the logic is ridiculous. Do you believe in a giant elephant living in the centre of the Moon? If you deny its existence then it must exist.... Yeah, right.
I don't think atheists fear Christians being right. It seems you may fear atheists being right. Not sure what else would make you so irrational.

You are one freaky dude. If you honestly believe what you are saying you have major issues.
I am an atheist. And quite happily so.
Christians who preach like this, like yourself, are what annoys me no end. I leave you with your beliefs, I don't agree but I respect what someone else believes. Why can't you respect another's decision not to believe in god?
I don't have faith in god, as I feel the common concept of god is a bit screwed, there are too many rules and too many things that make no sense.
And how can someone else drag you down as a believer? If your faith is strong then surely you can overcome any pressure from outside parties?
I also resent being called a heretic, I don't believe in god no, but I certainly don't believe in satan either.
Vengence is mine, should I choose to execute it :)

"Something has to exsist to be denied it's exsistance"
you would deny the existence of the IPU, the FSM and Russel's Teapot, but by your logic that confirms their existance.
by the way, that gamble is called Pascal's wager, and it conflicts with the ideal of a benevolent god.
i'm not even an atheist...

Denying that the planet Zug exists does not prove its existence.
I acknowledge that others have a belief in God and deny the validity of that belief without any supporting facts.
Of course I am afraid of Christians if they make threats that I will burn and that I am working for another mythical creature. In my mind these are not evidence of a healthy psychology.
By affirming your God you are denying all others. Does this mean that you fear them?
By your reasoning I am only condemned to burn by one more mythical creature than you are. Me by all Gods and you by all other than the one you worship.

The problem is actually all those people that fail to recognize that Thor exists. Since people deny that Thor exists, he must obviously exist in order to be denied. Those unbelievers keep bashing those that follow the Norse ways. All those heretics of the true faith are working for Loki and his jotun friends who have deceived them into working for the forces of destruction and will bring Ragnarok upon us all!
Please, Thor, do not bash me with your mighty hammer for listening to these crazy people. They have clearly gone mad not to believe in you!

i don't think they're afraid of god or any other higher spiritual energy. I just think they are hard core realists and live in the material world, where science prevails. They have never had an experience of higher spirituality and don't believe in things they can't touch. That's fine, it creates interesting conversations. It's important to accept people for who they are. Belief is personal, so why should you dispute that.

aside from the terrible spelling follow me here: I also don't believe in Invisible Pink Unicorns. By your logic, they now exist.

Once again, just because YOU believe it doesn't make YOU right.
No, an Atheist doesn't believe. Period. No if's, and's or buts. Not fear. They just don't believe.
Your god and your religion are simply ridiculous to me. There's as much fantasy in your bible as a Piers Anthony novel. Its utterly stupid.
Btw, reported for baiting and trolling because you KNEW how this would go over when you posted it. You can't possibly be stupid enough to think it would go over well.

Do I believe in the Sahara Ocean? No. By saying it doesn't mean I've proven it, and I'm not scared of this Sahara Ocean...
I'm a Muslim myself, and what you're saying isn't a very good argument. Lay off the Atheists.
P/s: It is Christians who fear the Atheists might be right.

How, exactly, does existence ncessarily precede denial? I deny the existence of pink unicorns. Do they have to exist before I can deny their existence?
Now, your point about God is valid. In order to deny the existence of God, we have to be able to conceive the existence of a non-contingent being. If we can conceive it, then it has to be possible (otherwise we would be capable of a priori knowledge, which also leads to theistic conclusions). And if it is possible for a being to exist whose existence is necessary, then that being must exist by necessity.
