It is audible to others sitting near me. Nothing happened to bring it on, it just started about 5 days ago. It doesn't hurt, but it is mildly uncomfortable (may be due to the sound freaking me out a bit). Anyone know what it could be, and how to best get rid of it? I have no insurance, and money is kind of tight, so to go to the doctor for something frivilous would be a bad thing. Thanks!

It could be your joints are rubbing over eachother as you move. I would avoid making those movements, the best you can and see if it subsides.

Without pain, I would say going to doctor isn't necessary. I can't describe well here... look up exercise "axial neck extension". Might be on http://www.nih.gov/

Lack of Oil , Not joking apply coconut oil daily night on the neck before going to sleep and after 2 or three days you see the change.
