Last night as my son and I were making ice experiments I explained to him that he should never lick the ice/frost in the freezer because his tongue will get really stuck. I remember I did as a child and wondered how may other kids may have done the same thing! LOL! Anybody else?

:) No, but I'm sure you have a great story to tell. I'm surprised he didn't do it because you said not to *LOL*

Yep.. same here, I did it on the freezer door. Never did THAT again.

I also remember sticking my tongue on one of those old stainless steel coffee perculators (the kind that had the glass knob on the lid, that you could watch the coffee "perk" up through)- for no apparent reason. Burned the heck out of the tip of my tongue. Funny that I still remember that, after all these years. :)

If it was a lick on the outside of the door, unlikely. If it was a lick on the metal on the inside, it'd have to be pretty old.

Still, you can do it with old enough metal, but for all I heard of it, I never knew of anyone who did it. Then again, most metal was painted, anodized, or somehow treated, and maybe, just maybe, us kids listened.
