You know the story about casting stones at the woman.
Why when Jesus asked her who her accusers were did she lie to him? They was about to stone her to death!

**Jesus thought for a moment and then replied, “He that is without sin among you, let him cast the first stone at her.” The people crowded around him were so touched by their own consciences that they departed. When Jesus found himself alone with the woman, he asked her who were her accusers. She replied, “No man, lord.” Jesus then said, “Neither do I condemn thee: go and sin no more.”

The woman was not of that town to begin with first off.
Seeing her accusers relent and turn away was a traditional way of saying don't do it any more.
Seeing the influence Jesus had on the crowd that was previously angry & now gone must have impacted her to fear Jesus' wrath.

The Bible Leviticus 20:10
" 'If a man commits adultery with another man's wife —with the wife of his neighbor — both the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death.

The Bible John 8:3 - 7
The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group and said to Jesus, " Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?" They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him. But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her."

The woman did not lie, she was answering to what Jesus wrote on the ground. " Where is the man ? "
She answered " no man or no one has condemned her ".

Therefore if the gathered crowd would have stoned her alone they would have been in manifest error.
Refer to The Bible Leviticus 20:10

Have a pleasant day.

I think the woman was saying-- it doesn't matter. Problem resolved now. or-- I believe the woman was an adultress wasn't she? Like Jesus said "Let he who is without sin cast the First stone". She was also a sinner and did not cast the first stone at someone else for their sin even though it was against her.

Oh, I can see how you could easily interpret it like that. No, actually, it was asking in the sense of, "Who is left? Woman, are ANY of those accusers still here to condemn you?" And so she truthfully says (because everyone left besides her and Jesus) , "None, my Lord." and so he does not condemn her either THOUGH HE CERTAINLY WOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE RIGHT TO DO SO. He forgave her and said, "Go and sin no more."

What that means is, the men judged her because of her sins, but they could no more judge her because of their own sins. No, she didn't lie to Jesus, because she was repentant Jesus forgave her sins. The men couldn't cast the first stone because they knew they were just as much of a sinner as she was.

She was a liar. That's why Jesus said, "Go and sin no more." Besides that, to "cast" means to make a mould. They weren't going to "throw" stones at her, they were going to "cast" stones in fancy shapes and then point them at her. And none of them accused her of anything. They just said that she was an adultress. Read your Bible, Man!

What?

Jesus was telling a joke basically. When everyone left as they realized they had sin too, he looked at her and said basically, "Hmm I wonder why the place seems so empty now" Jesus said a lot of funny stuff, like in the Gospel of John he says, "Do you believe in the Son of Man" and the man asks who that is, and he says "You have now seen him, in fact, he is the one speaking to you". Also the quote about a rich man going to heaven is harder than a camel going through the eye of a needle.... Jesus had a sense of humor. Oh and also Jesus telling people to pluck out their eyes and cut off their arms if they sin. could you imagine a bunch of arms and eyes rolling down the side of the mountain?

Funny stuff that has really true points to it.

It means only Rachel Ray can cast the first bisquit cause she can cook. If you can't cook like most celebs like Pres. Bush, Tom Cruise, or Oprah, then that means they are not chosen.

It's very basic. Think of it in the context of a good cook with heart verses a bad cook with vengence.
