You can do it by using a tool / Program which come with Windows XP.

Its called NT BACKUP.

You can create a full backup using NTBACKUP and when your system fails, format and install WInxp and then restore using the same NTBACKUP and all your Programs and Drivers would be back.

You can do this way. Click Start > Run> Type NTBACKUP and press Enter.

Select Backup Wizard

Select Backup Everything

Select Location

Select Type of Backup as Full.

Now once the backup is complete write the file in a Secondary Storage Device or DVD.

When your system goes down reinstall XP from the OS CD.

Once installed, Click Start > RUN > Type NTBACKUP and presee Enter.

Select Restore

Select the File

And all your Programs and Drivers are back.

But the problem with this is that u need to install Winxp.

Similar third party applications are available which can make an image of entire partition.

Then you can copy back the partition when something goes wrong.

Norton Ghost is one such utility which is very easy to use. Buy you need to buy the software.

If you still need help get back to me.

You are only 12, don't worry about it...And sure i know that 12 12 months old guys are already desirous about that stuff, i'm 14, i have been around it all. But seriously, keep your pants on and stick to the handy stuff, girls will admire you extra. No longer that i'm some form of trained on this, however i am pondering you mainly don't seem to be even entirely developed but, so do not fear about it.

I would use a file migration software to transfer your files in another secure drive and then reinstall windows. A link below may help you solve your problems. Look under the heading "File Shuffle"
