Caffeine intoxication can be serious! Caffeine speeds up your nervous system and produces chemical interactions in the brain that can cause delusions and possibly hallucinations in extreme amounts. It causes your heart to beat faster and you produce adrenalin, which can put your body into shock. The amount of caffeine in coffee won't do that in the quantities you have described, but I'm wondering if you ever thought about doing half decaf and half regular?

Sorry to disappoint you it is useless! You join the gigantic band of hopefuls hoping to loose weight by doing nothing. There are currently 145 old sets of answers for you to look at on this site asking the same green tea question. If there really was an easy way of loosing weight do you not think we would all be using it, don't you think health professionals would be shouting from he rooftops ' DRINK GREEN TEA' and we can fix the obesity epidemic that is costing the Health Service a fortune, not to mention the time doctors spend on obesity related issues! Less in more out, a balanced diet, 30-40 minutes of vigorous exercise 4-5 days a week. Get off the couch!

Too much coffee can:
cause irregular heartbeats
leach calcium from bones
effect your quality of sleep
plus many more problems
Try to limit to 1 or 2 cups in the morning, there are minimal health risks to having 1 or 2 a day.

Hello everyone, my name is Sk|TTles. This is my first meeting at Coffeeholics Anonymous.
I was addicted too, and I converted 4 days ago.
I was addicted to Sumateran coffee, 4 tsp cream, 1 tbsp sugar.
The cream was bad fo my weight so I searched for another beverage to get me going in the morning and get me through my 9 to 5s.
I found this new religion on Answers: The Green Tea religion.
I'm a faithful believer of green tea now.
I don't feel guilty after drinking green tea. It keeps my spirits and energy levels up. And it has lots of good benefits too, such as finghting cancer. etc.
I'm taking GNC's Green Tea Extract capsules daily and I really feel the difference.

Hazards...
Well, for one thing, you are addicted to caffeine now, and you cant start your day without it. You are dependent on it now. If you stop now, you will go though withdrawal symptoms. Yup, caffeine, like any other drug, has bad results.
You get jittery with caffeine, and according to studies with spiders, the spider with caffeine could not complete a single task (Making a section of a web).

if your a teenager it can stunt your growth. two or three cups a day isn't bad, but 4 or 5, and 6 or more is just way to much

It's actually possible to get psychosis from it. Also, too much can literally kill you, so there are some serious limits to how much caffeine you should take in.
