Forget the snacks and concentrate on 3 basic meals made up of healthy food. Plenty of veg, wholegrain products and no fats. Cut out at least half of the beer. Low fat cheese and exercise at least 3 times each week. A 3 mile brisk walk or a 2 mile run will do wonders. No sweet foods such as biscuits and change over to half or even no fat milk. No fried food, No Chips, No crisps or packets of nuts. A few nuts daily is OK. Nothing between meals except perhaps an apple.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Try the Shapeworks Healthy snack range protein bars (with real chocolate) and Soya Beans. They're delicious. I used them while I was losing weight and they are low calorie but high satisfaction. Check the link below

Apples and walnuts! Men can consume more carbs than woman can. So multigrain breads and crackers, or seed breads are great for snacks. Multigrain is filling, has heart healthy fats in them, and add the fiber needed for good digestion and low colesterol. Go NUTS! Pistachios, almonds, walnuts are all good diet friendly nuts to snack on. Pecans, and cashews are great too. Whole nuts that have to be cracked are great to slow the eating process so that one doesn't eat more than needed before feeling satisfied. The key to snacking, is feeling satisfied afterward. Having a few nuts with apples, carrots, or green and red pepper slices will keep the calories down and the satisfaction up. One of my favorite snacks is shredded cabbage, and sliced almonds with a little bit of low fat ranch dressing. If my fat consumption is low on any given day I will make that same salad with regular ranch dressing. Add some chopped apple to it, and a pinch of curry for variety. If I need to make a meal out of that salad, I add left over chicken or pork. Go to one of your favorite discount stores and thumb through some cook books. There are a lot of great idea out there to be had.
BTW, cabbage is much better for you than lettuce. I have changed over to shredded cabbage completely. We use it on our burgers, tacos, and in all of our salads. It is crunchy, and much more satisfying than iceberg lettuce.

You can make popcorn in the microwave in a covered dish or microwave dish without oil and sprinkle some salt or herbal salt on it. Ryvita with cottage cheese and a little sweet chilli sauce is tasty and has very few calories.

i know its stupid but i chewed alot of no-suguar gum for a long time and loss a few pounds off that- it distracts you fron really unhealthy food, especially if you get in the habit. Other than that, low-fat yogurt, fruits and vegetables, nuts are healthy [almonds, peacans- stuff like that], gronala bars, salads are great

salads, fruit salads, or jus regular fruit, fiber, granola bars, fish.. also what made my gf lose alot of weight is some chicken salad, it is very good, it can also be with tuna, but i think that with canned chicken is better, well u jus put 2 cans of chicken on a bowl, add 2 spoons of light mayonaise, one can of corn, and salt and pepper, and just mix, and eat with "tostadas" or as a sandwich, its delicious and also very healthy, hope this works!
