I don't know if it's healthier... I heard that cold water burns more calories because your body has to work harder to maintain its temperature than when drinking warm water.

Drinking water is so important to LIFE...we can't live without it or anything else.

The temperature for me depends on what the temperature around me feels like. It affects what I desire.

For example on a hot day a glass of anything over ice really cools me off but I sip it and do not gulp it down in big amounts.

When it's very cold I desire a warm drink like tea. Plus when I have to take medicine sometimes it's hard to swallow pills...so I use warm not hot water and it keeps my throat from tightening up....and makes it easier to take.

If it's too cold the temperature affects the muscles in my throat and the medicine gets stuck.

the question you asked.....I drink room temperature water when I need to quench my thirst most of the time. I would think any extreme water temperature would have it's affects on our body.

Drinking room temperature is better than cold or hot, because your body tissue that comes into contact with it doesn't go through extreme changes to try to compensate for the temperature change.

People mistakenly say that anything that doesn't kill you only serves to make you stronger, but that's a lie. Anything that puts undue stress on your body serves to wear it out and wear it down.

And it's the Asians who say that drinking room temperature water is better than drinking cold or hot water. Look how right they've been about other things.

Never heard that in my medical training. It isn't healthier... there is a rate of diffusion that would differ. The studies say that colder water can burn a few more calories to transfer to the body's temp... so good for dieters. Warm water, I would think would diffuse faster... but I am not sure which it is cold or warm that is uptaked faster. However, water is water... temp is not a dependent factor.

Drinking cold water burns slightly more calories because your body uses energy to maintain a constant temperature. I've never heard of warm water being of any greater benefit.

it fairly is not considerable biologically. you have a 9" long tube from the lower back of your throat on your abdomen or perhaps ice chilly water is as much as blood temperature long previously it fairly is even section way down. chilly water is a clean drink on a warm day yet medically, there is not any distinction between chilly or heat.

Well, I would say that drinking any form of water (Purified) is ok...
I would drink cold water on days when it is hot. But, what I found out is that a worker of mine drinks warm water when he eats something that contains lost of oil. That way, he keeps the oil in its liquid form instead of having it turn solid in your stomach.
