I assume that all people are good company - until they show something else.

can you define 'good company'´?

The Apostle Paul wrote in 1 Cor 5:11 'But I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is a fornicator, or covetous, or a idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner -- not even to eat with such a person.' We should obey the word of God not to associate with people not walking right with God. We will be more victorious in our walk with God when we keep company with believers who are on fire with God, faithfully living out God's plans for their lives and having the same spirit with us. Jesus had told us to assess people by their fruits and not just by what they say. But by the way they talk and the things they do one can surmise where they are with God.
The wrong company will perhaps not join you in activities that bring you closer to God. Jesus also told us to be wise as serpents but harmless as doves.

I am always careful of the company I keep. Only the best, because I don't wanna be around riff raff, but around people who are intelligent, upstanding, slow to anger, and very open-minded (slow to judge).

Do you judge a book by its cover or do you assume that all stories are the same?
I avoid being around crack, meth and heroin addicts, other then that most people I would learn to trust with time

i do assume that people are generally good. but i am too paranoid to trust anyone.
im not a sociopath, i just dont trust 100% even my friends. 99% is pretty reasonable right?

I don't really hang out with people that much.The ones I'm friends with,I've known since kindergarten.I'm really close to them.I don't have to be careful about them.

Yes, very careful. I don't associate too much with people who continue a heathen lifestyle indulging in sin.
