I have chronic neck problems. I have a Homedic Shiatsu 300 chair cushion... one of the best purchases I have ever made. However, it misses the tops of my shoulders and my neck.

I was looking into the "Homedics BKK-100 Therapist Select™ Shiatsu SPOT Massaging Cushion", seen on http://order.store.yahoo.net/ymix/MetaController.html?ysco_key_event_id=&ysco_key_store_id=yhst-37697109791737§ionId=ysco.cart.

Has anyone used this? Can anyone recommend a device that has worked for you?

Pain can be referred from places other than the head. This deals with headaches but the principle works for all kinds of pain.
Muscles get knots called trigger points. These make the muscles tight causing them to press on nerves and other thing.
#1 The first thing is to take a couple swigs of molasses or eat a couple of bananas. They contain magnisium and potassium both of which muscles need.
#2 WATER she should be drinking 1/2 gallon minimum. The head of neurology at UCDavis likens a body running low on water to a car running low on oil (the engine can seize).
Get a good (deep tissue) massage (to loosen the trigger points) on the back, shoulders and neck. Make sure to press up at the base of the skull where it meets the spine.
You rub or lightly scratch everywhere on your head. You will hit spots that are tender these are trigger points. The idea is to rub across them 6-12 times per session up to six times per day until they go away.
For more information on trigger points read The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies.

Set up the situation again. Get close, and maybe try it while you guys are watching a film or something that takes a while to finish. Also, if he leaves laying it out, and you can manage to find it, (and this is really sneaky) turn off his phone when he is in the bathroom, or something. Then purposely this time, do what you did before. Stop rubbing it after 20 minutes or so, and just hold his hand. Try to stick by him, and stay close to his side. See if he offers to have you lay on him again. If you feel like things are going well, you can make a choice from there... Start rubbing his hand again, and tell him that you like him... or the better option if the moment is suiting you, massage his hands until you can get an open moment just to look towards him, and just get closer, if he doesn't stop you after you move in a few inches or so, then he's not going to stop you at all, just kiss him. It's pretty likely from what you are saying, that even if he thinks he is straight, or thought he was straight before... he's fallen for you.
