There can be numerous causes of elbow pain. Muscle, bone, joint, tissue, nerve, artery... could be stemming from shoulder, from hand... from a systemic problem.

Remedy would depend on the cause. Can't answer your question... to vague. If you knew your pathology, I could. As a PT, I recommend you go see your Md.

I had this pain. I used various medicines prescribed by the Doctors. Nothing solved my elbow pain. Ultimately one old lady asked me do the following. I did. I am completely got cured. I am not facing any problem for the last 15 years.

She advised me as follows:

1. Collect "Tamrind leaves" say 150 grams. Clean it with cold water. Then boil it for 12 to 15 minutes.

2. The boiled water will have colour of "tea boild colour". Separate the Tamrind leaves from the boild water, put the same on a clear cloth. The boiled water of tamrind, let it cool for sometime so that it will not boil your skin.

3. Tamrind leaves which is now in clean cloth, fold it from all side and knot it at the top so that all the leaves are within the cloth.

4. When the temperature of boild water of tarmrind when you feel bearable to use

5. Put the cloth of leaves in the tamrind and then start fomenting for 15 minutes continously by that time tamrind water will become cool.

6. As suggested above do it twice daily for one month. You will find the reasult within 10 to 15 days but continue it for one month. You will never have elbow pain.

I used the above method not only for my elbow pain but also shoulder pain. I fully get it rid of these pain. My wife who could not walk due to elbow pain got full relief out of the above method.

Pain can be referred from places other than the head. This deals with headaches but the principle works for all kinds of pain.
Muscles get knots called trigger points. These make the muscles tight causing them to press on nerves and other thing.
#1 The first thing is to take a couple swigs of molasses or eat a couple of bananas. They contain magnisium and potassium both of which muscles need.
#2 WATER she should be drinking 1/2 gallon minimum. The head of neurology at UCDavis likens a body running low on water to a car running low on oil (the engine can seize).
Get a good (deep tissue) massage (to loosen the trigger points) on the back, shoulders and neck. Make sure to press up at the base of the skull where it meets the spine.
You rub or lightly scratch everywhere on your head. You will hit spots that are tender these are trigger points. The idea is to rub across them 6-12 times per session up to six times per day until they go away.
For more information on trigger points read The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies.

I had elbow problems (still do) years ago and the doc told me it was from leaning on my elbow on my desk and to quit or wear pads on my elbow. If it is fluid go have it checked, if it is swelling it is probably arthritis. I can get the swelling and pain in mine to go down by putting my arm straight out and rubbing the inside of the elbow in a circular motion and then bending it up and extending it again, rubbing all the while. Hope it helps--or see a doc.
