The chances are good that they will get along...especially if they're all kittens. If you have the funds to take care of three, go for it. :)

They will probably get along. I have 3 cats-Mom cat, Dad cat and their baby.they are all adult now, but they seem to know each others personalities. The mom cat is kinda skittish and likes to be left alone, so when Dad or baycat want to sleep and be left alone, they go hang out with her. The dad cat is pretty affectionate, so when it's time for a good ear cleaning/ places they can't reach cleaning, they go to him. The babycat is always down for a good game of running around like a maniac, or if she's sleepy, finding the nearest warm body. They don't gang up on each other at all.
If you do get another kitten, DON'T get a male. even if they are fixed, they can still spray.
Don't worry too much about trying to introiduce them. They are young, so they should adapt quickly to the new baby.
Just make sure that you can afford food, vet stuff (get them all fixed- I'll explain in a second-and plan on having several litter boxes when they get older. The rule of thumb for more than 2 cats is one Litter box per cat, plus an extra. I live in a small place, so I only have 2 litter boxes, and I have to clean both of them
EVERY day. If I don't, I get dirty looks from all 3 of them, as well as not-so pleasant home fragrance.
The reason I say to get them all fixed is this- my boy cat is fixed now, but not the girls. I don't worry about unwanted kittens, because they are scared to go outside, and I am very careful to keep windows closed, etc. However, when one of the girls goes into heat, there seems to be a delayed reaction, that causes the other to go into heat immediatly following, and the cycle continues for about a month. Our vet won' fix them while they are in heat, but as soon as this episode is over, they are BOTH getting fixed ASAP. Breakdancing, cooing, etc is cute for about 5 minutes and then it will make you crazy.
Good luck and happy catting!

Yes definately, but there is a limit to cats. I love them, but cats are very territorial and having too many in a small space can lead to temper problems. I am not sure what the actual space is, but there is a number of square feet per cat that is recommended. But the third being picked on or ignored thing is not necessarily true, it depends completely on the cats' temperaments and experiences. So give them a good experience and hope for the best temperament.

The biggest factor in how well cats get on it the individuals themselves, just like people, they get on with some and not with others, some don't like other cats at all. Best thing to do is get the kitten and see how it goes, they'll get used to each other quick enough.

Yeah once you're set up for one cat you can pretty much just add cats. You may have to break up some fights but if you adjust them properly (keep them in separate rooms for a few days and introduce them slowly) you'll be fine.
