Hey, I love to sing and have been told I have really nice tone but...... I am having a hard time hitting high(er) notes. Seriously, I sometimes have troubles with singing a C above middle C. It's like when I get around there, my voice just stops. I'm not tensing up and I'm sure its not in my head because, well i know thats not high. Any ideas? Vocal exercises, natural remedies. Also, I am only 14 so is it possible that my voice is just changing? Will it go away? please help! It's really frustrating!

Practice, practice, practice. You may have a naturaly low voice but that does not mean that it is any less beautiful. Embrace the gift you have been given, support it with exercises and sing songs in your voice range. As you get older your voice may change (mine went down) but you will be able to work your voice into something you can be proud of either way.

Hi Katie, You probably need to vocal exercise. The more you exercise the better you will get. Plus if your voice is starting to change a little the exercises (vocal) will help strenghten your voice. Trust me on this. A Friend.

I highly recommend vocal lessons. I took them while in college and it got rid of some very nasty habits I wasn't aware of. I found out I have a four octave range and have landed some wonderful lead parts in musicals. My instructor told me to stand relaxed and psychologically believe those notes above high C are really "low" notes. It really helped me. Don't forget to take deep breaths to support the phrase. Most of all HAVE FUN and it will be easy!!!

Prayer. If Soloman asks for wisdom and gets it, why can't you ask for the most beautiful voice and get it? God says ask and you shall recieve. If you ask for a beautiful voice and He doesn't deliver, then He is going to have a lot of explaining to do when you get to heaven.

just move your hands up and down (kind of like mariah does) whenever you hit a hard note. it distracts your audience and you sound a lot better to those who don't know any better.
