I recently recieved a speeding ticket in Mississippi while driving back to Kentucky. I know that some states do not have reciprocal reporting of tickets. My question is, can I ignore the mississippi ticket? If so, does it mean I can't be caught in mississippi again, or what will happen. Also my ticket would have cost about 140 in KY but theres no list of fines for the MS ticket, I have to call someone who's never in... any idea what it is?

You will have to figure out which county you were in when you got the ticket (unless it was given by a municipality, then just contact city hall ), and then contact the courthouse there and ask what the fee is if it isn't listed on the ticket anywhere. If you don't pay the ticket, there will be a warrant issued for your arrest. Depending on the agency this may or may not be entered into a nationwide database. If it is, then the next time your license is run by an officer the warrant will show up and you may or may not be arrested depending on whether that agency wants to extradite. If the agency doesn't enter the warrant nationwide, and if you happen to go through that area again in the future and are stopped you will probably be arrested. I would suggest you go to the trouble to find out what the fine is and get it taken care of.

I could be mistaken but I think that in this day and age mostly all if not all states do reciprocal reporting of tickets. I would just pay the thing too and be done with it. Who needs the hassle???

you will have to call the state the ticket was issued in, and if it does not get paid mississippi will have kentuky pull your license, it may take a while but it will happen.
